Nottingham Forest in to sign potentially ‘world-class’ player; current club has one demand

Borussia Dortmund has reportedly suggested to the USMNT star that he should present more appealing offers if he intends to depart during the winter transfer window.

“Nottingham Forest is among the clubs expressing interest in Giovanni Reyna,” shared Christian Falk in his exclusive column with CaughtOffside.

He added, “Marseille is also in the race. What I have heard is that the offers Dortmund have received thus far are not good enough. So they informed Reyna that he needs to bring better offers. Dortmund intends to wait until the end of the winter transfer window. As of now, I’ve heard there hasn’t been a new offer.”

The Bundesliga standout, Giovanni Reyna, has been labeled a potentially ‘world-class’ talent, as stated by former prodigy Freddy Adu (GOAL).

In the current season, the 21-year-old has not made any goal contributions, a contrast from the previous campaign in 2022/23 where he produced an impressive 11 goal contributions.

A new challenge is needed

Playing opportunities have been scarce for the 21-year-old, largely due to previous injury problems. In summary, Reyna has slipped down the hierarchy at Borussia Dortmund with the emergence of younger talents like Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

A move to a new club, such as Nottingham Forest, where he could potentially become the focal point of the team, would likely be appealing given the chance for a fresh start and more playing time.
