Just In: Ipswich Town set to sign prolific Europe striker

Championship acrobats AFC Wimbledon’s Ali Al-Hamadi will be joining Ipswich Town.

According to the South London Press, the Dons and the striker have agreed on a club record cost for the Phoenix period, estimated to be about £1.75 million.

The previous record was set by Ayoub Assal’s move to Al-Wakrah in Qatar, which brought Wimbledon £1.2 million in January of last year.

Al-Hamadi has 16 goals and seven assists this season across all competitions, and the transfer comes with a sizable sell-on clause from his last team, Wycombe.

Since joining the Dons in January of last year, the Iraqi international has tallied 27 goals and provided eight assists across all competitions.
