Breaking: Top elite club in pursuit of Norwich City player

In an attempt to acquire a Championship attacker before the end of the month, Lazio, an Italian team, has made a transfer bid for Jonathan Rowe of Norwich City.

In an effort to acquire an attacker before the transfer window closes, Serie A team Lazio has placed a transfer bid for Jonathan Rowe of Norwich City.

With the Canaries this season, Rowe has had a breakout year and established himself as a vital member of the team that is vying for a play-off spot in the league.

With hopes of moving up the table and into the top six, the forward has scored 12 goals in the Championship so far, boosting Norwich to ninth place in the standings.

But if a replacement isn’t signed before the transfer window closes, Lazio’s season might be derailed and their pursuit for promotion could come to an abrupt end.

Lazio submit transfer offer for Norwich’s Rowe

According to recent rumors, Lazio, an Italian team, has made a partial offer for Rowe of Norwich in an effort to capture the attacker permanently during the January transfer window.

The Serie A team has reportedly made a bid for the forward in an attempt to make a last-minute grab for the talented winger, according to Football Insider.

With the money being touted for similar forwards like Jack Clarke, Norwich would be well paid for their player, but the move would leave them in a bind and require them to look for a replacement at the last minute.

Due to their existing wide attackers’ inability to make an impression in Rome during the Serie A season, the club is looking to acquire an offensive winger during this transfer window.

The article also claims that the club has received offers for three of the most impressive young attackers in the Championship this season, including Jack Clarke of Sunderland and Morgan Whittaker of Plymouth Argyle.

In order to relieve the pressure on striker Ciro Immobile, they are looking to Rowe as a player who can contribute goals to the squad, while players like Pedro and Felipe Anderson have only scored three and two goals, respectively.

Lazio is still playing in both Serie A and the Champions League, but their current league form has led the team to make an offer for Rowe in an effort to move up the standings. Currently, they are two points out of the top four and sit seventh in the standings.

It will be difficult for Rowe to resist a move to some of the biggest teams in Europe before Thursday, as the forward has previously been linked to a move to West Ham.

Rowe move could derail Norwich’s season

A departure from Norwich might end the Canaries’ season and their ascent to the top six.

Only two points behind Coventry City in sixth place in the Championship standings, David Wagner’s team is presently in ninth place. There are several clubs in and around that region vying for promotion to the Premier League, making the competition for the top six extremely competitive.

For the Canaries, Rowe has been the most vital player. With two assists, he now has two goals in the league, which ties him for fifth place among the Championship’s top scorers. His two goals have directly contributed to thirty percent of the team’s goals this season.

Even if the squad has been able to distribute the goals fairly this season, losing the team’s top player may spell the end for the club’s hopes of finishing in the top six.

Without his goals, Norwich’s league position would have dropped by nine points, and they would have to fight Birmingham City and Stoke City for relegation.

Although Lazio might make a sizable offer for the attacker, it might be in their best interests to turn them down and let him stay with the team until the summer.

If Rowe keeps up this kind of performances, there’s a decent chance a Premier League team will come in with a higher offer without having to make any mid-season roster changes.
