Devin Harper, a four-star interior offensive lineman, announced on social media on Tuesday that he has committed to play football for LSU in the class of 2025.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Harper is the No. 5 interior offensive lineman and the 129th player in the country. He is the third-ranked player in Louisiana and attends Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport.
Along with LSU, his final ten schools were Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Texas Tech.
With Harper’s commitment, LSU will have commitments from the top three Louisiana players for the 2025 season. Earlier this month, the Tigers received commitments from four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine and five-star running back Harlem Berry.
Four-star linebacker Keylan Moses, ranked No. 5 in the state, has committed to LSU as well.
Following Harper’s commitment, LSU has the second-best recruiting class in the country. Three five-star talents have committed to it: Berry, quarterback Bryce Underwood (ranked first overall in the Class of 2025), and wide receiver Dakorien Moore (ranked first in the nation).
After four-star recruit Brett Bordelon, Harper is the second offensive lineman to pledge to LSU’s 2025 class.
In addition to signing six offensive linemen in its 2024 recruiting class, including four-star prospects Weston Davis, Coen Echols, Ethan Calloway, and Ory Williams, LSU has four returning starters on its offensive line.
Center Charles Turner, who decided to join the 2024 NFL Draft, is the lone member of LSU’s offensive line that needs to be replaced from the previous campaign. Turner’s replacement in the starting lineup is most likely to be rookie center DJ Chester, who contributed significantly to LSU’s victory over Missouri.
