Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, has already experienced enough heartache on the football field to start the year. So this weekend, instead of attending the 2024 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, he’s getting ready for a more laid-back yet competitive environment on the golf course.
Allen is anticipated to forgo the Pro Bowl Games in order to participate in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA Tour, according to sources from The Buffalo News. The Pebble Beach, California event kicks off on Thursday. Allen, who enjoys playing golf a lot, will participate in the competition for the third time this offseason. He played alongside PGA professional golfer Keith Mitchell the previous season, finishing fourth behind the event winners, Ben Silverman and Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets.
In the regular season, Allen led the NFL in total yards (4,830) and touchdowns (44) as he was a nominee for the AP Most Valuable Players award. He completed the regular season with 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions on 385 of 579 passes. But Allen’s running stats—111 carries for 524 yards and a career-high 15 touchdowns—helped propel the Bills.
After the Eagles defeated the Chargers in Week 15, Allen also made NFL history by becoming the first player to record four straight seasons with 40 total touchdowns. Allen has been named an MVP finalist three times now (2020, 2022, 2023).
