Kieffer Moore has officially joined Ipswich Town on a season-long loan from AFC Bournemouth.
The 31-year-old, who is making his second term at Portman Road and will wear the number 24, is the Blues’ fourth January transfer window addition.
Prior to joining Town under Mick McCarthy in January 2017, the striker made 11 appearances but was unable to score.
“It’s great to finally get it over the line because it’s been a long time coming during the window,” Moore remarked in an interview with TownTV.
I’m thrilled to be back and am eager to get started. I recall my first term here, and during that time I went away and worked really hard on myself.
“I just want to meet the group, get out on the pitch, and contribute. I was really excited when I spoke to everyone here.”
In order to replace the injured George Hirst, manager Kieran McKenna sought to acquire two strikers during the January transfer window. On Monday, Town signed Ali Al-Hamadi from AFC Wimbledon, and McKenna welcomed his second striker into the team.
“We are thrilled to have added a striker with a proven track record in the Championship, as well as Premier League and international experience,” the Town manager stated.
“Kieffer will provide the team with some really valuable technical and physical traits. His professionalism and attitude, in our opinion, will enhance the group’s current culture.
Moore played for Rotherham United, Barnsley, Wigan Athletic, Cardiff City, and Wales at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup after spending his initial stint in Suffolk.
On Saturday at 3pm, the striker might make his Preston North End debut.
