Great deal: West Ham United target to jet into UK with last-minute deal

Following bids, Ibrahim Osman is ready to travel to the UK and is expected to sign a last-minute contract with West Ham United.

EXCLUSIVE: Dortmund express 'strong interest' in Ghanaian youngster Ibrahim Osman

Ibrahim Osman, an attacker for FC Nordsjaelland, is now anticipated to remain with the team past the transfer deadline, but Ben Jacobs says he expects a last-minute change.

The gifted forward is anticipated to stay at the club, according to the journalist, who revealed on his personal X account on February 1st. This is after the Danish team turned down proposals from Brighton and West Ham totaling over €20 million (£17 million).

Osman is content to stay in Denmark for the duration of the campaign, but it is understood that he is prepared to travel to the UK today before the deadline should anything change.

Jacobs shared: “It appears that Abraham Osman will remain in Nordsjaelland.” Danish club has so far turned down two bids totaling about €20 million from Brighton and West Ham.

“Player is known to be glad (and preparing) to stay at Nordsjælland and then relocate in the summer, but also prepared to travel today should there be any shocks.

In the upcoming window, Spurs, Wolfsburg, Gladbach, Bologna, Monaco, and West Ham could all show renewed interest.

Great deal

Fans of the Hammers will have been hopeful that, given Osman’s ties to Ghana, his relationship with Kudus would help bring yet another talent to London Stadium before the transfer season shuts.

Since making his Nordsjaelland debut in February 2023, the young player has brightened up the Norwegian top division, amassing five assists and four goals in 39 games.

Despite the fact that Osman has yet to make his debut for his country—many more talented players have pushed him down the ladder—he is a real possibility, but the Hammers cannot afford to spend £17 million on him this month.

The Irons undoubtedly need a new winger before the deadline, but paying that much for a player who might not have an impact right away is too risky, particularly given their financial situation and the challenges PL clubs face with FFP.

That shouldn’t deter West Ham from trying to sign him for the summer, though, as there is still time to persuade the player that East London is the best environment for him to continue developing after this campaign.

If the gifted winger isn’t expected to leave this month, Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten would be very wise to keep going after him. It would be foolish to ignore his talent and potential.
