Owner of Birmingham City, Tom Wagner, has appealed to Blues supporters to pack St Andrew’s before the Championship matchup with Sunderland.

On February 17, the Black Cats and Birmingham play in the Midlands, with Blues manager Tony Mowbray making his first appearance against his old team since being fired last year. Prior to the match, Wagner, the chairman of City, has issued a request to fans.

“You always say, Tom, ‘You wouldn’t believe what the atmosphere is like when St. Andrew’s is sold out,'” he added. “Please just show me, don’t tell me,” is how I respond.

“It’s time to sell out St. Andrew’s to capacity once more. We last did so in March 2019.” We are going to work together to make this great game even bigger. On Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 3 p.m., it’s Sunderland. Put dates on your calendars.

“Let’s demonstrate to our fantastic manager, Tony Mowbray, his coaches, and the team what it means to have Birmingham supporting them. They are deserving of it. Complete stands. whole voice. Amazing intensity. What a fun game that is.”

Birmingham City has started five initiatives to make this huge game even bigger in addition to their owner’s request. The goal is to sell more tickets and guarantee that St Andrew’s is sold out for the Championship match. After Wagner and the Blues board fired Wayne Rooney, former Sunderland manager Mowbray took control.
