Contract rebel happy to play Moyes game despite harsh treatment

Contract rebel Johnson is just happy to play

Johnson: It was a game of two halves for me! | West Ham United F.C.

Ben Johnson, regardless of position, has stated that he will stop at nothing to play for West Ham. This season, the Hammers’ defense has taken on a variety of duties and has evolved into something of a utility player.

The fact that the player appears to be able to play at a high level anyplace on the field speaks volumes about his aptitude and character. Johnson’s contract expires in July, but given that he has been a West Ham player since he was eight years old, his dedication is undeniable.
Several Premier League clubs have evidently taken notice of him due to his performances, and it makes sense that they would be eager to sign such a good player for nothing. With the academy graduate eager to put pen to paper, perhaps the club can agree on a new contract and avoid a situation that is entirely unneeded.

All Johnson is requesting is a salary that is on par with other team players and an opportunity to establish himself on the starting roster. He is content to play any position David Moyes asks him to, though.

Johnson will keep improving

Johnson stated on the team website that he would be content to play anywhere the manager wanted him to. Although I enjoyed playing midfield when I was younger, it does take some getting used to playing that position again. But I like to think I can perform the job and that I’m willing to learn. I want to contribute as much as I can, wherever the team needs me.There are undoubtedly advantages to Old Trafford for me. I can only perform to the level of the squad, of course. Overall, I thought the group put up some strong performances, and for my part, I just want to keep playing and having fun with football.

From a football player who constantly looks to be smiling during play, what a wonderful attitude. Hopefully, this contractual foolishness may be resolved as soon as possible.
