JUST IN: Three Prospects to Participate in Prestigious Showcases as Duke Basketball Reps

Future Duke basketball talents abound on the rosters of three noteworthy high school all-star games.

Three Duke basketball recruiting prizes will be awarded at the annual classic, which made its 27 selections public on Wednesday, for the second consecutive year.

This time around, five-star forward Cooper Flagg of Montverde Academy (Fla.), five-star forward Isaiah Evans of North Meck (N.C.), and five-star center Patrick Ngongba II of Paul VI Catholic (Va.) are the future Blue Devils scheduled for the prestigious exhibition among elite high school seniors.

Evans, ranked No. 13 in the class, and Flagg, the top overall player on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, are also chosen to play in the McDonald’s All-American Game in early April.

Ngongba, who has a composite ranking of No. 23 but has missed months of activity because of a foot injury, will play with them when Team USA represents the United States at the esteemed Nike Hoop Summit in mid-April.

Wisconsin Lutheran five-star forward Kon Knueppel (No. 16) and Paul VI Catholic four-star forward Darren Harris (No. 52), the other two early 2024 signees for the Blue Devils, were not invited to any of the three top prep showcases this spring.

The 2024 Iverson Classic’s date, location, and which of the three future Duke basketball players will play for the same squad are still unknown. At the end of April, the 2023 Iverson Classic was played, featuring three Blue Devils who are currently freshmen: Sean Stewart, TJ Power, and Caleb Foster.
