Following Bronny James’ exclusion from the NBA mock draft, LeBron James of the Lakers launches an intense tirade.
There are many doubts regarding whether USC basketball player Bronny James will declare for the 2024 NBA Draft as the NCAA basketball season draws to a close. The son of NBA player LeBron James has not achieved the level of success that many had anticipated, and the Trojans are currently ranked last in the Pac-12 Conference.
LeBron supported his son on Twitter on Monday when Bronny was completely eliminated from a 2024 NBA mock draft. He started off by quoting from the fake draft link.
Could everyone kindly just let the child enjoy college basketball and be a kid? Whatever he chooses to do, in the end, the work and outcomes will speak for itself. You guys don’t know that he just works, regardless of what a mock draft says! Not Given, But Earned!
Shortly after, LeBron sent out another tweet:
“And to all the other young people out there who aspire to be great, just keep working hard, keep your blinders on, and keep your head down.” These rough drafts are completely irrelevant! I swear to you! The work is all that matters! Real basketball people, let’s discuss!

Bronny James would benefit greatly from playing one more year of collegiate ball for a number of reasons. He is only averaging 5.5 points in 19 games with USC, shooting 37 percent from the field. This past weekend, the Trojans defeated UCLA, and he only managed two points.
ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, who co-wrote the highly anticipated mock draft alongside Jeremy Woo, disclosed the rationale behind his decision to exclude Woo and include him in the 2025 NBA mock draft instead:
