Exclusive: Detroit Tigers Just Sign Sensational Star Player

Tigers Star On Detroit Legend Miguel Cabrera: “He Treats Everyone The Same, You Can Ask Him Anything.”

Tigers veteran Miguel Cabrera shares heartfelt note to fans: “Here in Detroit, I feel at home; I feel as if I were playing in Maracay"

Parker Meadows, an outfielder with the Detroit Tigers, is anticipated to play a key part in the 2018 MLB season as they seek their first AL Central Division title in ten years.

Meadows confesses he is a major fan of Detroit star Miguel Cabrera, a big-hitting Venezuelan who won a World Series, was a 2-time AL MVP, and a 12-time All-Star, and that the first baseman was a team player through and through.

“He just has such a good time, and he treats everyone equally,” Meadows told Overtime Heroic’s senior editor Reggie Roberts in an exclusive interview.

“After our first talk, I felt like I’d known Miggy for my whole life. Literally, you can ask him anything, and he’ll give you a decent response in such a basic interaction where he was honest.”

Meadows, who signed with the Tigers in August 2023, made his Tigers debut on August 21st against the Chicago Cubs, recording his first major league hit in the third at-bat.

Just four days later, he hit his first home run, a three-run walk-off to right field that smashed Astros pitcher Ryan Presley far and beyond in a 4-1 victory.

“I recall my first encounter with Miguel Cabrera… I was so nervous.

He’s such a pro, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing him around the clubhouse this year, especially since he’s in the front office,” he said.

Alan Trammell, another Tigers icon, endeared himself to Meadows, having spent his whole 20-year playing career in Detroit. He has been a special assistant to the general manager since 2014 and has impressed Meadows and the rest of the squad.

Alan Trammell is a passionate fan of the game who strives to improve the performance of others in the company. He is also a really nice person. Simply a delight to be around.”

With such Detroit legends on his list of heroes who have exceeded his expectations, there is growing optimism that Meadows and the rest of the club will leave a winning legacy and aim to emulate the 1984 squad, the last to win the World Series.
