Breaking News: The Atlanta Falcons are set to resign three sensational stars.

Falcons defeat top-three quarterback in most recent mock draft

This offseason, the Falcons are looking for the next quarterback to lead the team. It is unclear if they will acquire him in the 2024 NFL Draft on April 25 or through free agency next week.

In contrast, Will Brinson of CBS Sports believes that in his most recent mock draft, Atlanta will select one of the best quarterbacks in this year’s rookie class.

Breaking News: The Atlanta Falcons are set to resign three sensational stars.

At number eight on Brinson’s list, the Falcons select LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.

“The Falcons are THRILLED to find Daniels sitting here, even though he doesn’t necessarily fit the coaching staff’s description,” says Brinson. “Plus, I think they’ll sign a veteran quarterback in free agency, giving Daniels a year plus to sit and learn Zac Robinson’s system.”

Sensational would be putting it mildly. Most people believe that the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner, along with UNC’s Drake Maye and USC’s Caleb Williams, is among the top three quarterbacks in this year’s draft. All are anticipated to be selected in the top five.

Daniels is a talented quarterback who can run for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023 in addition to throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Daniels’s potential to drop all the way to No. 8 seems doubtful. Although Brinson knows this and said, “Let’s go nuts,” at the beginning of his mock draft, stranger things have transpired on selection night.

Kirk Cousins, the quarterback for the Vikings, has also been strongly associated with the Falcons. Cousins is expected to enter free agency on March 1.

The team will probably utilize their first-round choice on a different position if Cousins signs with Atlanta. Still, if Daniels is miraculously available when it makes its first pick, it would be tough to pass him up.

Do not be shocked if the Falcons manage to select one of the best quarterbacks available in the 2024 NFL Draft, regardless of whether Cousins stays in Minnesota or leaves. However, to do that, a trade-up would probably be necessary.
