Rafael Nadal made sure to take his time and be ready for whatever was left as he got ready for what may be his last professional season of the year. After suffering a significant hip injury at the Australian Open, he was sidelined for the whole 2023 season and didn’t play again until the new year.
And yet, the 22-time grand slam champion’s body deserted him once more a few matches into this season. After limping out of the Brisbane event in the first week of January due to another hip injury, Rafael Nadal missed the Australian Open and hasn’t played in two months.
