Fans of the Maple Leafs, meanwhile, had a quiet day until general manager Brad Treliving joined the action at the eleventh hour by signing depth center Connor Dewar. Dewar joins hard-hit defensemen Joel Edmundson and Ilya Lyubushkin as the Leafs’ deadline additions for this season.

3:16 PM: NHL source Chris Johnston claims that the Maple Leafs have acquired Minnesota Wild center Connor Dewar. A 2026 fourth-round selection is what the return to the Wild will get, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
In 2018, the Manitoba native, 24, was selected in the third round of the draft. In 57 games, he has 10 goals and 4 assists while averaging 11 minutes per night for Minnesota. He will be a restricted free agency at the end of this season and is regarded as a defensive player who kills penalties.
