In the episode that was released on Wednesday, the 36-year-old stated, “The one thing that I’m disappointed about retiring right now is that I’m retiring when the Eagles had potentially the biggest collapse in the history of the organization—not potentially, probably the most.”

“I think the Eagles are going to be really good next year,” he continued, going on to explain why he believed the Philadelphia squad had so much promise.

He lamented not being on the roster once more, saying, “I just really think there’s going to be one hell of a bounce back from the Philadelphia Eagles next year, and it really pains me that.”

He went on, “That is one thing about the timing of which I’m really upset, but it is what it is.” “I’ll have to take a different pleasure in it.”

The Eagles had a 10-1 record going into the 2023–24 season, but they dropped their last six games.

Having spent his whole 13-year NFL career as a player for the team, Kelce stated that he still intends to stay connected and “help out” in any manner that he can.

At one point in the broadcast, Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and co-host of the podcast alongside his elder brother, broke down in tears talking about Jason Kelce’s retirement.

He remarked, “It seems like I’ve always had that flotation device right there, and you’ve always been a step ahead of me.” “It feels empty to have you out of it, man.”

When the Chiefs player said that his brother’s journey was “complete” and a “success,” he had to fight back tears. His team had won the Super Bowl the previous month.

At a news conference on Monday to announce his retirement, Jason Kelce gave a moving speech.

He remarked, “I felt the most alive and free I had ever felt when I stepped onto the field.”

During the speech, he thought back to when he first met Kylie Kelce, the woman he is now married to, and how that moment had altered his life “forever.” There are three daughters between the two.

He subsequently remarked, “I think it’s no coincidence I’ve enjoyed my best years of my career with Kylie by my side. I still remember the moment she walked through the door.”
