To begin the 2023 NFL season, the New England Patriots will play their home games with Tom Brady present.

After then, he went on to win another Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This past off-season, he retired once more.

Brady isn’t retired just yet, despite suggestions that he could make a second appearance. However, he is scheduled to go to New England to participate in a ceremony during the season’s first game.

Robert Kraft’s offer to Tom Brady

Brady received this offer from Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who has frequently compared the quarterback like a son, and it should be duly appreciated.

“I’m happy to tell you and your audience that I invited him back to come here and be with us at the opening game and let the fans in New England thank him for the great services he gave us over 20 years,” Robert Kraft told the NFL Network.

“Tom Brady will be honored and we will be grateful for everything he did for us over his 20 years as a player for the New England Patriots. This will be the start of many celebrations.”

“The NFL is over a century old and, in 20 percent of those years of the NFL, the greatest player in the history of the game played right here at Foxborough.”

Brady then seemed to publicly acknowledge that he had accepted the invitation by using love hearts and praying emojis to reply to an NFL Instagram post about the event.

Tom Brady’s other return to New England

The talented quarterback has also visited Gillette Stadium with the Bucs, so this won’t be his first visit.

That occurred in October 2021, when Ryan Succop’s field goal late in the fourth quarter gave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a 19-17 victory, giving Brady the victory.

He will undoubtedly be rooting for the Patriots to win this time around as they play the Super Bowl runner-ups from the previous season.
