The Toronto Raptors were one of the clubs playing the most during the NBA trade deadline. The trade season began much earlier, with the original Anunoby transfer in late December. Among the teams the Raptors traded with were the Utah Jazz.

Kira Lewis Jr. and Otto Porter were traded by the Raptors to the Jazz in exchange for Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji. Olynyk was well-liked by Jazz fans, and even though he was going to join the Raptors in his native Poland, he penned a poignant farewell to the squad on Tuesday.

Kelly Olynyk played for the Jazz for one and a half seasons. He was acquired by the Jazz from the Detroit Pistons prior to the 2022–2023 season. When Olynyk was a member of the Jazz, he averaged 10.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists a game. In addition, he made 51.9 percent of his field goals, 40.3 percent of his three-pointers, and 77.5 percent of his free throws from the line.

Having played in just two Raptors games so far, Kelly Olynyk has averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. Her field goal percentage is 50%, her three-point percentage is 33.3%, and her free throw percentage is 100%.

Olynyk made his NBA debut with the Boston Celtics, who selected him with the thirteenth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. During his 11-year career, he has played for the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets, in addition to the Raptors, Jazz, and Pistons.
