The manager of the New York Yankees has shared some encouraging information regarding two of their stars.
After manager Aaron Boone’s most recent remarks regarding the injury status updates on two of their star players, everyone with an interest in the New York Yankees can exhale with relief.
When Aaron Judge’s original return date was pushed back and he skipped Monday’s scheduled batting practice, it became more concerning than anyone had anticipated due to his abdominal injury.
After the disappointing news about ace Gerrit Cole at the start of the season, there was fear that another superstar Yankee might be out for the season.
Boone anticipated that Judge would participate in the spring training game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday, but it was unclear if that would truly happen given those prior schedule setbacks.
Nonetheless, the captain stated that the slugger would return for that game when he spoke on the Talkin’ Yanks podcast.
“I think he’s going to play tomorrow. That’s how I want it to go. Boone stated, “I’ve sent out the lineup with him in it.
Since New York is only “being really cautious” to ensure that this injury “doesn’t turn into something,” they won’t be concerned even if they have to make changes to those plans once more.
The Yankees’ lack of concern is presumably due to the fact that Judge’s abdominal muscle tear is unrelated.
“He was really just having some pain in that core area, but that’s probably why they went extremely cautiously to make sure they took some pictures of it. We’ve just been treating it and making sure he’s ramped up and ready to go because it didn’t show anything,” the manager said.
