Hannah Stuelke, a freshman at Iowa, is becoming more confident with each match.
The No. 10 Iowa Hawkeyes’ Hannah Stuelke lets her play speak for her, racking up impressive stats that win her over fans.
Iowa freshman forward Hannah Stuelke is what you might expect from any freshman at a Division I institution. While she is still not sure what major she wants to pursue, she is very clear about her goals and actions when it comes to basketball.
The Washington High School alumna from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who won Miss Iowa Basketball and the Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year, has made a significant impact for the Hawkeyes off the bench.
With 72 rebounds so far, she ranks fourth in that category behind McKenna Warnock, Monika Czinano, and Caitlin Clark, averaging 6.8 points per game. She also leads all freshmen in minutes (218) and has scored in double digits six times.
On January 11, she had her best game against Northwestern, scoring 17 points and snatching nine rebounds. She was greeted with thunderous applause from Carver-Hawkeye Arena, drew a charge, and cleaned up some of Clark’s missed threes.
Before that, on December 29, she scored 11 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in her first double-double against Purdue.
