With or without Nylander, the Leafs need to find their scoring punch.

Many sources have speculated that William Nylander’s unexplained absence from the Toronto Maple Leafs may have been caused by migraines. Nylander was tested by team doctors for a concussion because the migraines were so severe.

Nylander told the media that he had switched to a tinted visor in 2022 because he had experienced migraines the year before.

Further questions have been raised since Nylander participated in the morning skates despite missing games 1, 2, and 3. As the Leafs prepare for game 4 on Saturday, Boston leads Toronto 2-1 in the series.

More information about Nylander’s absence was provided by Frank Seravalli on Daily Faceoff Live today.

Seravalli Frank: Now let us talk about William Nylander and the injury he has right now. It is very unclear; I have been told for the past two days that it is a concussion, but neither the Leafs nor he have received an official diagnosis. He is been having migraines and light sensitivity, which are concussion-like symptoms that raise concerns that he is not feeling well and is not playing.

Frank Seravalli: There was discussion about whether it was a soft tissue injury or a tweak. There are no guarantees, but I believe we can definitively say it has to do with Nylander’s head. He may play in Game 4.
