C.J. McCollum, a guard for the New Orleans Pelicans, disclosed that during Game 1 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he expected to make a last-second shot.
In the Western Conference playoff Round 1 matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the New Orleans Pelicans, C.J. McCollum had the chance to lead his team to victory in Game 1.
McCollum was freed up with about two seconds remaining, and he attempted a leaning 3-pointer that would have won the game for the Pelicans, but his attempt struck the rim.
“I succeeded in getting the switch. After the game, McCollum said, “I should have attacked a little earlier, a little faster.” To be fair, though, the defense was strong. I mistook it for money and was out of luck for a while.”
