The Kansas City Chiefs have dealt with various issues this season that have cost them games they have usually won in past seasons. This season’s defeats have caused dissatisfaction among the players and raised concerns about the team’s mentality going into the postseason.
Regarding sideline outbursts, Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, has been the focus of attention. In his Wednesday press conference, he clarified his position on expressing anger in public.
Mahomes clarified, “I think you motivate in a lot of different ways.” “I am doing everything in my power to stay upbeat and steer the guys in the right direction. However, occasionally you may catch me watching from the sidelines; I appear irritated. I believe that many of the guys are angry that we are not winning. But at the same time, you have to have the right message and know that the guys know that I believe in him. And I do. And now, it’s just about how we can utilize our situation and make it positive going into this next week.”
