Pete Rose on Reds: ‘They got great young players, but they aren’t playing great’
COVEDALE, Ohio (WKRC) – its a well known fact the Reds have had their portion of battles this season in the wake of dazzling in 2023 with their young ability coming up from the minors. The season has been so wobbly that it’s grabbed the eye of one of the establishment’s record-breaking greats, Pete Rose.
Rose was nearby on Thursday night at an occasion at the Western Slopes Nation Club, where he told Neighborhood 12 his opinion on the present status of the Reds.
“They’re confounding to me, since they got a ton of incredible youthful players, however the youthful players that are extraordinary aren’t playing perfect,” said Rose. “I live in Las Vegas, so I’m watching them on television consistently, and I can’t sort out their environment at the ballpark. I surmise they get along, they play like they get along, yet you got a person like (Elly) De La Cruz, how might you hit .220?
