Texas Baseball Loses Freshman Infielder to the Transfer Portal

Dee Kennedy is the principal player to enter the gateway since the recruiting of Jim Schlossnagle.
Kennedy began 40 games as a green bean, for the most part at a respectable halfway point, and batted .209 with a .680 Operations. The speedster swiped two sacks, had ten extra-fair hits, and had 48 consolidated strolls and hits.

The center infielder was positioned as the third-best shortstop in the province of Texas in the 2023 class by Amazing Game and gave indications of significance in his time push into the beginning arrangement. Kennedy had six multi-hit games, including a two-homer execution against Houston on April thirteenth. Kennedy was not thought to be a starter this season yet moved forward after senior infielder Jack O’Dowd’s battles.

Kennedy’s takeoff is a major misfortune for Schlossnagle and his staff. It was expected to be that assuming he remained, he would be the drawn out starter at a respectable halfway point. With his flight, and O’Dowd’s graduation, Texas should trust shortstop Jalin Flores gets back to the group, or that top enlisted people Bryce Rainer and Theo Gillen don’t sign with a MLB group.

At this point, Texas has only two center infielders on the list with rising youngsters Jayden Duplantier and two-way player Cade O’Hara. The two joined for only 12 at-bats in 2024, and a group with desires of the School Worldwide championship probably can’t have them as starters heading into the year. Schlossnagle should strive to reply back with players of his own in the exchange gateway, or probably this Texas group could be in a difficult situation in the infield.
