Hopson, a Regina local, was a hostile lineman with Saskatchewan from 1973 to 1976, playing with incredible Riders like running back George Reed and quarterback Ron Lancaster.
He got back to the establishment in 2005 as its most memorable full-time president and chief, a post he held until 2015.
