NHL TRANSFER NEWS: Just In Florida Panthers Right wing Committed With Boston Bruins Deal.
Tomas Nosek says ‘No Hard Feelings,’ Ready to Join Florida Panthers
Tomas Nosek stated that one of the factors that drew him to the Florida Panthers as a free agent was how they performed against his Boston Bruins in the playoffs last year.
Boston enjoyed the finest regular season in NHL history, taking a 3-1 series lead in the first round of the 2023 playoffs, but the Panthers won the remaining three games and advanced to the next round.
“When I was playing in Boston [in 2023], we hadn’t lost two games in a row—and then they beat us three games in a row in the playoffs,” Nosek added. So I knew they were a rare group. They demonstrated it this year by winning everything. It’s a terrific group of guys, and I’m excited to join them. “I am excited to play with the Panthers organization.”
It’s funny that Nosek brought up that series.
One of the more noteworthy incidents from the early parts of the series was his confrontations with the Panthers bench in Game 2.
Nosek’s high hit on Eric Staal in the corner resulted in a heated dispute with Matthew Tkachuk and Ryan Lomberg at the benches, which was captured on film.
