NCAA TRANSFER NEWS: Top Talented Highly Rated 5-Star WR Reject Georgia And Alabama Finally Commits To LSU Football.

Five-Star Cornerback DJ Pickett Commits to LSU

DJ Pickett, a five-star cornerback who is among the best players in the nation independent of recruiting service, has committed to the Tigers. Pickett chose to commit to LSU over Miami and Oregon. LSU, which is now rated fourth, has easily reestablished itself as one of the nation’s best recruiting classes.

Picket is universally rated as a five-star talent by all significant recruiting organizations. The 6’4″ Pickett was recruited by defensive backs coach Corey Raymond to play cornerback for the Tigers, despite the fact that he is ranked as a safety by the 247 Sports composite rankings. Raymond became acquainted with Pickett during his tenure at Florida. This relationship and Pickett’s prior interest in LSU created a fantastic chance for the Tigers to play a significant role in his recruiting. In the end, Pickett chose the Tigers over Oregon following a late push.

DBU Architect Acquires Pickett’s Committed, Startling Features
In high school, Pickett has played both ways and is explosive, long, and rangy. When you view his film, you will see right away that he has several exceptional qualities. He plays the ball well on defense and has the ability to score with every interception. Despite his 180-pound stature, his play is more physically demanding. With his lengthy strides, Pickett covers territory rapidly and switches direction with ease. Speed is not a problem for him because he has a sub-10.3 100-meter sprint time. As a three-sport athlete, he still has a lot of growth to do once he devotes all of his attention to football.

Present Class Position
With 17 pledges for the class of 2025, the Tigers now have less players than all three clubs presently rated higher. Out of the 17, three have five-star potential. With Pickett’s pledge, LSU has now committed five players, two of whom have committed to the secondary and the other two to the defensive side of the ball.

The Tigers may be in for more good news soon as Jaboree Antoine, a cornerback ranked in the top ten, is anticipated to announce his commitment this week. Antoine, a native of New Iberia, Raymond’s birthplace, had originally committed to LSU but had reopened his recruitment to look at other schools, including Miami. CJ Jimcoily, a four-star safety and native of Nashville, is also seriously considering the Tigers and may declare his intention to join the safety class in the near future.
