Scott County athlete Timmy Emongo makes another visit to Louisville.

Last weekend, one of Kentucky’s best young high school football prospects returned to Louisville’s campus.

Timmy Emongo, a student at Scott County High School, went to the 502 BBQ with around seventy-five other prospects. He was able to hang out around the program, spend some time with the coaching staff, and attend the celebration on Friday.

“It went really well,” Emongo reported to Cardinal Authority. “Talking with Coach (Chris) Barclay and the other staff members was amazing. They want to establish a relationship and want to get their 2027 class here as soon as possible. That achievement may include me in a significant way.”

As a rookie for Scott County, Emongo put up some remarkable numbers and has already begun to get notice from colleges. Eastern Kentucky made Emongo his first offer, and in late January, Louisville made him his first Power Five offer. Since then, he has had offers from Miami of Ohio, Kent State, and Kentucky.

Emongo, a versatile athlete, mentioned that he had a nice conversation with U of L head coach Jeff Brohm in January.

“I talked to Coach Brohm and he was very thankful that I was able to come,” Emongo stated. College football is a fantastic sport. Being in this role is a huge blessing for me.”

Emongo caught four catches for 83 yards and one score as a rookie in addition to rushing 20 times for 382 yards and five touchdowns. In the 12 games, Scott County’s offense amassed 3,475 yards of rushing and 1,003 yards of throwing for a 9-3 record.

Along with finishing with 22 defensive tackles and two touchdown kickoff returns, Emongo also grabbed an interception that he returned for a score.
