Markway appeared in 12 games as a true freshman, including one start, and caught three receptions for 16 yards and a score when Mason Taylor was out with an injury. His talent will be missed by the Tigers, as he might have been an important component of their passing and rushing assaults.

Prior to the season, it appeared like Mac Markway was Mason Taylor’s backup tight end, however both would get a lot of action as the younger receivers develop.
