Former Auburn football running back supports comments saying that Bo Nix was the only reason Harsin wasn’t dismissed right away.
Former Tigers running back Shaun Shivers supported a statement that said Auburn football player Bryan Harsin stayed with the team for more than one season because of 2021 starting quarterback Bo Nix.
“The game that Bo Nix picked up the Infinity Gauntlet and said ‘I’ll do it myself,'” an X user captioned a video of Nix’s highlights from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, the site of Auburn University’s 2021 game against LSU. “When Auburn breaks the Death Valley curse, LSU supporters were forced to oust Ed Orgeron two weeks later. Bryan Harsin’s only chance of staying at Auburn for more than one season was Bo Nix.”
Shivers only stated “Bo Nix” and included a goat emoji in her tweet.
at the 24-19 victory over the Tigers at Death Valley, Shivers had five receptions for 38 yards; it was Auburn’s first victory at LSU since 1999. That evening, Nix finished with 329 all-purpose yards, a throwing touchdown, and a running score.
Bryan Harsin is still grumbling about Auburn’s football season in 2021.
Harsin’s first Auburn recruiting class concluded with a worse rank than any in the Gus Malzahn era, and he still feels that the COVID-19 recruiting rules destroyed his first season on the Plains.
On August 8, the native of Boise took to X to address Clay Travis’s denial of the COVID-19 pandemic following Noah Lyles’ 200-meter dash bronze.
In response to Travis, Harsin stated, “We just made up rules that negatively affected people & refused common sense & decency.” “Those who disobeyed were embarrassed and punished. We can all now see how absurdly that period of time was handled.”
Naturally, Harsin did not even answer the phone or make the permitted Zoom calls to local Alabama coaches. He alone is to blame for his shortcomings.
