There are many unanswered concerns regarding the Chicago Bulls, both as a team and with specific individuals like Coby White.
White established himself as one of the finest bargains in the NBA with his breakout season with the Bulls the previous year, as he placed second in the Most Improved Player vote.
White has a team-friendly contract at $12 and $12.8 million for the next two seasons, which is excellent value for a player with his caliber of performance.
White’s influence as a player is undeniable, but in order for the Bulls to advance, he needs to provide answers to a few queries.

With Zach LaVine in trade limbo, DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso gone, and the remainder of the squad made up of youthful players, White will have to assume the role as this club’s de facto captain.
According to a recent interview in the Chicago Sun-Times (subscription), White seems prepared to take on that position, and it will be essential to the Bulls’ growth and success if he does.
White is now the team’s youthful veteran and, should LaVine be dealt, is without a doubt its finest player. As such, he will need to step up his leadership both off the court and in the community.
