Ange Postecoglou sack: Tottenham fans to ‘lose patience’ if Wolves win

Tottenham, Wolves, Ange PostecoglouTottenham manager Ange Postecoglou will be desperate for a win against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Spurs boss is expected to make three changes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 29 December with the odds of him being sacked slashed after recent back-to-back defeats.

While he maintains the backing of the club for now [via Daily Mail, 28 December], that could soon change, especially with the likes of Massimiliano Allegri out of work.

Therefore, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks this match could be crucial to the Australian’s future prospects in North London.

“If we lose to Wolves, the pressure will significantly rise,” Wenham said.

“For me, this game is key, because we will be halfway through the Premier League season after this, and if we don’t win, we will be 13th or 14th in the league. I’m hoping that Tottenham win and we get some confidence back into the side heading into January.

“However, I just think another defeat and the media will really start to ramp up the pressure on Postecoglou. Fans too, if we don’t get the win tomorrow, I think those who have been more patient about this project will lose patience and faith in the manager.”

Tottenham supporters to turn on Ange Postecoglou?

It feels as though it could be the beginning of the end for Postecoglou in North London, especially with fans branding his rumoured selection decisions against Wolves “pathetic” on social media.

With Spurs at 12th in the Premier League after 18 games, it is hard to see how the Australian will turn things around at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
