Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is behind an ongoing push on the part of the club to land Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold this month.

That’s according to English outlet The Daily Mail, who have provided a fresh insight into the situation.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course dominated the headlines across all of Europe over the course of recent days

This comes after the powers that be at Real Madrid ramped up their efforts to bring in the England international.

Ahead of the expiration of Alexander-Arnold’s contract at Anfield this coming summer, Los Blancos tabled a cash offer to land the right-back in January.

The bid in question was knocked back by Liverpool, who remain hopeful of ultimately reaching an agreement with the club’s defensive star regarding an extension.

But doing all he can to ensure that the very opposite proves the case, as alluded to above, is Carlo Ancelotti.
