The Pro Bowl isn’t want it used to be, but it’s still an honor to be recognized as one of the best players in the league. Year in and year out, players from the Buffalo Bills are voted in while some are snubbed. Just last year, linebacker Terrel Bernard was snubbed after having a better statistical season than Matt Milano’s 2022 All-Pro season.

Either way, the Bills should definitely have a Pro Bowler or two this season. Per Tom Pelissero, the top ten players by each position was posted for the Pro Bowl games. The selections are determined from a mixture of fan votes, players, and coaches. The final announcement for the rosters will be this coming Thursday.

Seven Bills players are featured on the list

Player Ranking/Position
Josh Allen 4th among quarterbacks
Connor McGovern 7th among centers
O’Cyrus Torrence 10th among offensive guards
Dion Dawkins 4th among offensive tackles
Damar Hamlin 9th among free safeties
Cole Bishop 8th among special teams players
Reid Ferguson 8th among long snappers

Josh Allen was ranked behind Jayden Daniels, Joe Burrow, and Jared Goff. Right behind Allen is his opponent for the MVP award, Lamar Jackson. Seeing Damar Hamlin on this list is a bit of a surprise, but Hamlin has been playing strong this year. The thing that is hurting him is missing the last couple of weeks due to injury.

In addition, have three of the Bills’ starting offensive linemen on this list should be no surprise seeing as how they have done a fantastic job with protecting Josh Allen. The unit has only allowed 14 sacks all season long.

There’s a lot to be concerned about the Bills players that didn’t make it. For example, not seeing Greg Rousseau or James Cook on this list is a bit concerning. Rousseau is having a fantastic year with QB pressures and he tied his career high with 8 sacks. Cook plays such a vitol role in Buffalo’s offense and is very close to his second consecutive 1,000 rushing yard season. Not to mention, he leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns…

The final roster for the Pro Bowl games will be announced tomorrow. Again, the Pro Bowl is a lot different than what it used to be. However, to be recognized as one of the best players in the league by fans, players and coaches is high honor. Bills fans should expect to see a couple of Bills listed on the roster.
