Eddie Howe has admitted they will be ready to move just because of one reason

Newcastle United’s transfer business has yet to fully ignite this month – but a number of transfer moves are bubbling under the surface. It looks set to be a busy transfer window.

While the fantastic form of the Magpies has created a feelgood factor around St James’ Park, the window has the potential still to disrupt the best-laid plans. Incomings and outgoings are expected.

Eddie Howe has admitted they will be ready to move should the right deal be in place – but outgoings are certainly needed first. The likes of Miguel Almiron, Martin Dubravka, Kieran Trippier and Sean Longstaff have been linked with moves away, although Howe is wary of weakening his squad for the second half of the season.

Marc Guehi remains a player of interest after the failed attempt to sign him in the summer with Chelsea also keen, while youngsters such as Abdukodir Khusanov, James McAtee and Tyler Dibling have been linked. There’s also speculation over a free transfer, in the summer, for Jonathan David. The goalkeeper department will also come under scrutiny should Dubravka depart.

We’ll bring you all the latest news, rumours and gossip from St James’ Park and around the Premier League right here.
