JUST IN: Yankees makes a decision to land a blockbuster deal for three left-handed pitchers in latest part of offseason makeover

The Yankees have been active this offseason in strengthening their pitching rotation, but their efforts are far from over.

As reported by Brendan Kuty of The Athletic, the team’s top priority now is securing a left-handed reliever. Among the names reportedly under consideration are Tim Hill, Brooks Raley, and Andrew Chafin.

Hill, who joined the Yankees in June 2024, delivered an impressive performance, posting a career-low 2.05 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 35 regular-season appearances. At 35 years old, he could likely be re-signed at a reasonable price.

Raley, a Mets reliever since December 2022, faced a setback after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May 2024. Before his injury, the 36-year-old made eight appearances and had his $6.5 million option picked up by the Mets last offseason.

Chafin, who split his 2024 season between the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers, recorded a 3.51 ERA with a 1.473 WHIP. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Yankees have expressed interest in bringing him on board.
