BREAKING: Aaron Rodgers Declares Josh Allen the NFL’s Best Player Amid MVP Debate

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn’t hold back during his recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, naming Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen as the “best player in the NFL today.” While discussing the upcoming high-stakes playoff clash between Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens and Allen, Rodgers critiqued how the media often frames these matchups. He predicted the losing quarterback might face undue criticism for failing to lead their team to victory.

Rodgers was quick to highlight the stellar campaigns both Jackson and Allen have had, but he gave special praise to the Bills signal-caller, emphasizing the MVP-worthy performances Allen delivered throughout the season.

“Both guys had incredible seasons,” Rodgers said. “Josh, until the media—which has a big sway—jumped on the Lamar train… had a phenomenal season and, arguably, [is] the best player in the league.”

Allen’s stats back up Rodgers’ claim. The Bills quarterback racked up 3,731 passing yards with 28 touchdowns against just six interceptions in 17 games. Adding to that, he posted an impressive 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. With Allen at the helm, the Bills finished the season 13-4, including victories over powerhouses like the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions.

While the debate for MVP rages on, Rodgers’ high praise for Allen underscores the respect the league’s elite players have for his undeniable impact on the game.

In the NFL playoffs, it will be interesting to observe how the media reacts to whoever loses the Bills-Ravens game. Allen, as Rodgers stated, has more than shown himself to be the finest player in the NFL, while Jackson is already a two-time MVP and widely regarded as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the game’s history.
