Bills Coach On Hot Seat Amid Major Announcement

Sean McDermott, the award-winning Bills coach, has accomplished so much. What is left to accomplish? Just one more thing.

The Buffalo Bills will visit the Baltimore Ravens in a repeat of a Week 4 game that the Ravens won 35-10.

This weekend must be different, and if it is not, many things in Buffalo may be vulnerable to Bills Mafia requests for change.

But at the moment? Sean McDermott, head coach of the Buffalo Bills, is sitting quite high up on a coaching throne, rather than on the infamous hot seat.

What’s the height?

The Bills’ coach has just received some good news: McDermott has been named the winner of the arle Greasy Neale Award for the Most Outstanding Coach in Professional Football by the Maxwell Football Club.

All of the credentials are there. The Bills finished 13-4, despite many detractors predicting they wouldn’t make the playoffs. They are the AFC East’s perpetual champions, with division rivals barely scratching the surface this season.

There is one thing McDermott hasn’t done around here – the Super Bowl – but he has accomplished almost everything else, according to the award presentation.

“Established in 2001, the Greasy Neale Award is a distinguished honor in professional football, presented annually to the NFL’s most outstanding head coach.” This renowned prize rewards excellent leadership, strategic innovation, and considerable impact on the game,” the Maxwell Football Club said about the honor.

“The Greasy Neale Award honors coaches who embody the visionary leadership, strategic excellence, and dedication that Neale exemplified throughout his career. By recognizing the top NFL coach each year, the award upholds Neale’s legacy, celebrating those who demonstrate exceptional skill in leading their teams to success.”

McDermott has done all of that. What’s left to accomplish? Just that one more thing.
