The Auburn football quarterback room underwent a significant transformation throughout the offseason. Holden Geriner, Walker White, and Hank Brown entered the transfer portal, while Payton Thorne ran out of eligibility. The Tigers signed three quarterbacks from the transfer portal to join incoming freshman 5-star Deuce Knight: Jackson Arnold, Ashton Daniels, and Tanner Bailey.
With spring workouts just around the corner, Arnold is expected to be the Tigers’ starter in 2025. According to 247Sports, Arnold is also expected to be one of the most productive quarterbacks in college football next year, ranking 10th in their top ten quarterback projections.
“As bad as the offense was at times last season from a giveaway standpoint, the Tigers still went downfield often and had success with explosive plays through the air,” Brad Crawford of 247 Sports said. “Those playmaking wideouts return, along with a few new members to the gateway. Jackson Arnold, a former Oklahoma signal caller, could benefit from that, as well as stronger play up front.
