JUST IN: Virginia Tech Stuns Fans with Game-Changing New Head Coach Announcement!

The Virginia Tech Hokies finally have a new coach, and he is a familiar face. He is officially appointed as the new strength coach. He was born in Goodview, Virginia, and attended Staunton River High School before going on to play fullback for Frank Beamer’s Hokies from 1998 to 2001.

The Buffalo Bills selected Ferguson in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He was a member of four Virginia Tech bowl teams and started in the 1999 national championship game.

Ferguson returned to Virginia Tech after his playing career ended to work on the strength and conditioning staff for his previous coach, the well-known Mike Gentry.

Gentry is a member of the US Strength and Conditioning Coaches Hall of Fame.

Ferguson served on Gentry’s staff for 13 years before leaving in 2018. He returned to Tech in 2022 as the associate director of strength and conditioning.
