The Los Angeles Dodgers have dominated MLB in recent history with their last losing record back in 2010.
Since 2013, the Dodgers have made the postseason every year, won two World Series titles, and won the National League West 11 times.
The Dodgers continued to improve their roster this offseason as they acquired three notable pitchers: Blake Snell of the San Francisco Giants, Roki Sasaki from Japan, and Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres.
MLB insider Bob Nightengale recently revealed two reasons the Dodgers signed Scott as a free agent.
Scott made his MLB debut in 2017 with the Baltimore Orioles and has since played for three different organizations over the course of eight seasons.
In 2024, Scott participated in 72 games for the Padres and Miami Marlins, going 9-6 with a 1.75 ERA, 22 saves, and 84 strikeouts in 72.0 innings.
Nightengale highlights Scott’s dominant performance for the Padres against the Dodgers in the 2024 National League Division Series.
Scott faced 12 batters and surrendered just two hits.
The Dodgers now have one of the game’s most powerful relievers, as well as a starting rotation that has the potential to be one of the finest ever.
With the new and improved pitching staff, the Dodgers will try to capture back-to-back World Series titles.
