The No. 2 seed Buffalo Bills (13-4) are heading into the AFC Championship Game after a thrilling divisional-round victory over the No. 3 seed Baltimore Ravens (12-5). They’ll face the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs (15-2) on Sunday evening at Arrowhead Stadium in a highly anticipated showdown.
While the Bills have enjoyed a stellar season, they’ve struggled to overcome Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in postseason play, holding a 0-3 record under Josh Allen since 2018. However, they’ve fared better in the regular season, with a 4-1 record against Kansas City.
On Friday, head coach Sean McDermott shared unfortunate news for Buffalo’s defense: strong safety Taylor Rapp will miss Sunday’s game due to a back injury.
Rapp, who recorded an interception against Lamar Jackson in the divisional round, has been a key player all season, contributing 82 tackles, six pass breakups, two interceptions, and a forced fumble.

Rapp sustained the injury in the second quarter of the divisional round when he was landed on during a play.
He has been unable to practice fully all week and was officially ruled out. In his absence, Cole Bishop and Cam Lewis will be called upon to step up against a potent Chiefs offense loaded with playmakers on the outside.
