JUST IN:Dodgers Finalize 4-Year, $72 Million Deal With Left-handed Reliever

The Los Angeles Dodgers finalized reliever Tanner Scott’s $72 million, four-year contract on Thursday, bringing the World Series champs’ offseason spending to $452 million for eight players.

Last year, the left-hander was a first-time All-Star, going 9-6 with a 1.75 ERA and 22 saves in 24 chances for Miami and San Diego. Scott was acquired on July 30. He struck out 84 and walked 36 over 72 innings.

“This is going to be a very exciting year. “There’s a fantastic group of guys,” Scott stated at his introduction at Dodger Stadium. “They keep adding individuals, which is great to see, and I’m excited to be a part of it. When the (bullpen) phone rings, I’m prepared to go. “I just want to win.”

The 30-year-old has a 31-24 record with a 3.56 ERA and 55 saves with Baltimore (2017-21), Miami (2022-24), and San Diego.

After winning their second championship in five years, the Dodgers signed utilityman Tommy Edman to a $74 million, five-year contract, outfielder Teoscar Hernández to a $66 million, three-year deal, and right-hander Blake Treinen to a $22 million, two-year deal.
