Husky supporters, happy Sunday. Some of the 2026 class’s best players are being targeted by the Huskies. We examined the 2026 class’s top offensive targets last week. We’ll examine some of the class’s best defensive targets today.
The Huskies are attempting to make a big impression and sign Fremont High School’s Salesi Moa at safety. With numerous offers from across the nation, Moa, who is ranked as the 38th best player in the class, is primarily considering Utah, Michigan, Michigan State, and UW. The Huskies have visited Moa this offseason to show how much they want him.
Anthony Jones from Crean Lutheran High School in California is being actively pursued by the Huskies. The Huskies were among the schools that Jones recently reduced down his recruiting to include, along with ASU, Michigan, Tennessee, and UCLA. Jones is among the top edge rushers in the West (ranked 16th in the nation), and the Huskies would like to add one to their roster.
The Huskies, who seem to be an early favorite, are also vying for a local four-star edge. Kennedy Catholic High School student Derek Colman-Brusa. Colman-Brusa is ranked 12th in the nation for edge and 137th for player. In an effort to retain Colman-Brusa at home, the Huskies are competing with Ohio State, USC, and Oregon (his brother is on the roster; you would have to put the Huskies as the leader for him currently).
Although the Huskies are pursuing several prospects both domestically and nationally, they have a decent chance of luring the individuals I mentioned above. As always, follow me at @asieverkropp. That’s all for now.
