Kansas State University’s football program has received a significant boost with the announcement that senior offensive lineman has been granted an additional year of eligibility and has chosen to return for another season with the Wildcats. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 305 pounds, Poitier’s decision ensures that K-State will retain more starters on its offensive line than initially anticipated.
Taylor Poitier, a Kansas City native, has been a resilient presence for the Wildcats. Despite facing season-ending injuries in both 2021 and 2022, he returned to play in all 13 games in 2023 and started every game in the 2024 season. His perseverance and dedication have been instrumental in fortifying K-State’s offensive front.
Reflecting on his journey, Poitier expressed gratitude for his time at K-State, stating, “I’ve been here since the coaches came here (in 2019) and I’ve seen a lot of people come and go, and I’ve seen a lot of things that have developed me into a better person and player. I’ve experienced a lot. I’ve been through injuries and ups and downs. I’m just grateful for being here at this place.”
