Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills’ top quarterback, won the NFL MVP award on Thursday night in a close vote over Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Allen won his first MVP award, and Jackson was voted first-team All-Pro ahead of him. Over the last 11 seasons, the first-team All-Pro quarterback has also won MVP, a streak that was interrupted by Allen’s victory over Jackson.Allen’s MVP title was especially meaningful to him because it came after a career-best season. Allen did, however, cash in on an incentive in his deal with Buffalo, receiving a $1.5 million bonus for winning MVP.
The Bills quarterback will spend the offseason reflecting on his successful season while also looking ahead to the future, when he hopes to win the elusive Super Bowl in 2025-26.
