Virginia Tech has been actively hosting prospective football recruits throughout the spring, and with the conclusion of spring camp approaching, that trend shows no signs of slowing down. Notably, these visits aren’t limited to weekends—prospective players are continuing to come to campus during the week as well. Despite today being a Monday, several recruits are expected to arrive in Blacksburg to meet with the Hokies’ staff and tour the facilities.

One standout visitor is four-star defensive end Elijah Littlejohn, who is making his return to Virginia Tech after a strong showing at the Under Armour Next Camp in Charlotte over the weekend. Littlejohn, a member of the 2026 recruiting class, hails from West Mecklenburg High School in North Carolina. His recent performances have only strengthened his already impressive recruiting profile. With offers from nearly 30 programs nationwide, he has gained attention from some of the most prestigious schools in college football.

In recent weeks, Littlejohn has made visits to several high-profile programs, including Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and NC State. He also has a trip to Syracuse planned in the near future. So far, the only official visit he has publicly confirmed is with NC State. Still, the fact that he continues to engage with other programs, like Virginia Tech, highlights his openness to exploring different options as he evaluates where he fits best at the next level.

Joining Littlejohn in visiting Virginia Tech is another talented defensive prospect—Tyson Harley. Harley, who plays both defensive end and linebacker at Gonzaga High School in Washington, D.C., is also rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports. His versatility and athleticism have made him an intriguing target for college coaches. As he continues to receive interest from programs around the country, his visit to Virginia Tech presents the coaching staff with an important opportunity to make a strong impression.

These visits are part of a broader strategy by Virginia Tech to stay competitive in the highly-contested world of college football recruiting. By welcoming recruits throughout the spring—including weekdays—the Hokies are aiming to build strong relationships early and position themselves favorably as prospects begin narrowing their lists of top schools. With multiple four-star players stepping on campus this week, the Hokies are clearly making a push to attract elite talent to their program.

As the offseason progresses and official visits are scheduled, Virginia Tech’s continued focus on getting top-tier recruits on campus could play a major role in shaping the future of their football program.
