The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is just around the corner, likely meaning a huge shakeup to many analysts’ mock drafts is coming over the next few weeks. For now, there’s still a lot unknown about where many of the top talents for the NFL Draft are sitting in the estimations of NFL teams.

There are 32 prospects from Texas colleges heading to the combine next week, with the Texas Longhorns leading the pack with 11 invitees. But there’s still plenty of talent throughout the state outside of Austin looking to solidify their spots on the draft board.
Where are Texas college players expected to be chosen in the latest 2024 NFL mock drafts
Two of the players with a lot to gain by showing up in the combine are Texas A&M linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and Houston offensive tackle Patrick Paul. Both have floated throughout the early portions of the draft process, from potential first-round picks to possible third-rounders.
It’s probably not likely that the pair sink past the second round, but the combine should give more clarity.
The same can be said for many of the other potential day-two selections, like TCU’s Josh Newton and A&M’s McKinnley Jackson and Layden Robinson. All of them have the potential to boost their stocks significantly in Indianapolis
More players like A&M’s Ainias Smith, Texas Tech’s Myles Cole, and Baylor’s Gabe Hall could also sneak into day two with a solid Combine showing, sitting just outside for the time being.
