ex-Rangers All-Star announces his plans to retire

An illustrious former All-Star for the Texas Rangers is prepared to tour some beachside real estate.

Shin-Soo Choo, an experienced baseball outfielder, declared this week that he will retire following the 2024 season, according to Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News Agency in South Korea. Choo will play one more season for the SSG Landers of the KBO League in South Korea before retiring after having played for them for the previous three seasons.

Ex-Rangers All-Star announces his plans to retire

Although Choo played for Seattle, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, his time with the Texas Rangers from 2014 to 20 is what most MLB fans remember about the 41-year-old. Choo was recognized as a multi-tool player who could bat for average and power, steal a bag, and make some impressive diving grabs in the outfield. In 2019, Choo was selected for the Rangers All-Star team. In addition, Choo gained a great deal of respect over time for his selfless deeds.

Choo, who is still playing well in his home country of South Korea, hit 12 home runs and drove in 40 runs last season for SSG while maintaining a.251 batting average and a.772 OPS. However, Choo will retire like this Rangers star did following the team’s World Series victory this year, after one last farewell season.
